cycle salt lake century

I wake up saturday morning feeling great. Thinking "yes, im finally over the colds." Me and my dad get outside and we get our bikes in the back of the trucks. Once, we finally start the ride i start coughing like crazy about to cough up a lung, and turn myself insideout. so, me and my dad decided to do the metric century route. Which, actually gave us 72 miles. so all in all it was a good ride.

metric century

Well on saturday me and my dad went out intending on a 50-60 mile ride. we were absolutely flying, we caught a guy and while we were talking to him we were going 20 mph just talking. well we get back towards my house and we are around 52 miles. so we decided to jump around and got in our first metric century of the year.

First Time Trial

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to go race the saltair time trial. It was a great experience the people there were friendly, and it was a really good course. I had a pretty good ride, 6.7 miles avg 22.6mph. It really was a great experience.

Todays tip: In a timetrial just put your head down and keep pedaling!

tip of the day

The tip of the day is to ride like a car. If there is a stop light or stop sign, STOP!!!!!! You are as much of a moving vehicle as a car is.Therefore obey traffic laws as if you were a car.

Todays tip

Todays tip is headed towards the sprinters. Instead of mashing a hard gear that you cant spin. try and use a easier gear and use more rpm.

First Post

Well this is my first post. This is for sure going to be a cycling tips and cycling experienced based blog. The tip for today is to just get out and ride, anybody can do it. As Nike would say just do it.
